Selnes Gård is a part time farm in Northern Norway at Balsfjord. The arctic summer is short and very busy. We have some chickens, 30 sheep and about 15 icelandic horses and harvest hay for them. We also grow a little field of organic strawberries for sale, we try to grow salad and some vegetables for our own use. We breed horses so we have no riding horses for guests and there is little opportunity or time for horseback riding in the summer. Most work in the summer is with the strawberries, haying, fixing fences, making compost and getting firewood for the winter. Wwoofers with skills and interest in carpentry are specially welcome since we always have something to fix around the house and shelter for the animals. We welcome help mai to august. We have one very small cabin with 3 beds, but if we have more visitors some may have to sleep in a tent. We speak Norwegian, German and English. We have two kids (6 and 9 years old).
